Andrew is an environmental professional with more than 16 years of experience related to the transportation industry. This background provides him with a thorough understanding of the laws, regulations, and procedures related to environmental resources management. His areas of expertise include the preparation of PA DEP Wetlands and Waterways Encroachment Permits and NPDES Permits, development of erosion and sedimentation control plans and post construction storm water management plans, natural resources identification and delineations, and the development of wetlands and streams mitigation plans. He also has extensive experience as a construction manager working on transportation projects for PennDOT and the PA Turnpike Commission Andrew has a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, Andrew is involved with the Jacobs Creek Watershed Association, which is actively working to improve the water quality of Jacobs Creek in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties in Pennsylvania.
With over a decade of experience in the environmental, industrial hygiene and the health and safety field, Michael brings his experience as an Environmental Project Manager to Hunt Valley Environmental. He is responsible for developing abatement protocols involving asbestos-containing materials, microbial growth-contaminated materials, and lead-based paint. As Environmental Project Manager, he is responsible for developing cost-effective engineering, administrative, and personal protective controls that will reduce the potential for exposure, illness, injury, and/or property loss. His compliance with all Federal, state, and local regulations while working hand in hand with the EPA, DEP, and OSHA has earned Michael a respected reputation in the environmental community. Michael is currently certified by the Department of Labor and Industry as an Asbestos Project Designer, Asbestos Building Inspector, and Asbestos Contractor Supervisor. Holding these licenses enables him to provide clients with a wide range of asbestos-related services from asbestos surveys to asbestos abatement. Michael is a high school graduate of Kiski Prep and earned a B.S. in Allied Health and Environmental Safety Science Management from Slippery Rock University. Today he proudly resides in a quiet rural setting near the small town of Saltsburg, PA with his wife and two sons.

Evan is an experienced planner from western Pennsylvania. His responsibilities at Hunt Valley Environmental include managing planning projects and providing GIS analysis. Prior to working at HVE, Evan worked as the lead graduate assistant for Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Energy and Sustainability Initiative. He has also been awarded the Smart Growth Partnership’s Jack Robertshaw Fellowship where he focused on sustainable development. Evan holds two degrees from IUP; a B.S. in Regional Planning and an M.S. in Geography. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and sits on the Board of Directors for the Friendship Community Group.
Jared is a skilled project manager with over five years of experience in a project management and customer service leadership role. He is certified by the PA Department of Labor and Industry as an Asbestos Supervisor. Jared’s responsibilities at HVE include bidding, permitting and ensuring compliance with all EPA, DEP and OSHA regulations. His education and previous experience makes him adept at navigating the changing rules and regulations of the industry as well as communicating those regulations clearly to HVE’s clients. Jared is a graduate of Saint Vincent College; earning his B.S. in Political Science. He has also studied in Northern Europe as part of the University of Pittsburgh’s Semester at Sea Program. During his studies, Jared also received public sector experience working as an intern in the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of City Planning.
